'90 Day Fiance' Season 5 News: Cast Member's Friend Says 'Awkward' Previous Episode Was 'Scripted'

A friend of a cast member of "90 Day Fiance" has called fake on the reality series, revealing that a scene in the previous installment of the series was scripted.

Nikki, a friend of participants David and Annie, revealed that the people behind the show told her husband Chris to ask Annie to give him a massage as a way to repay them for letting them stay at their house, a scene that fans will remember from last week's episode.

She took to Facebook to confirm that this part in the "90 Day Fiance" installment was scripted, calling the scene "awkward." She goes on to explain on her lengthy post:

The producer asked him to say it [and] Chris had to say it more than once because it didn't come off as natural. We were fed our lines while sitting at the table, which is why no one reacted. WE ALL KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT.

She adds that the relationship she and Chris has in reality is far different from how "90 Day Fiance" portrayed it. Nikki adds that being a "very outspoken person," she would not have let him "disrespect me, Annie and our marriage" like that:

If I came off as harsh, aggressive, or like I'm attacking members of the group I apologize, but I don't agree with how Sharp/TLC is making my husband look for ratings. I have receipts of EVERYTHING we've paid for. I also have text messages between the producers [and I] have no reason to lie about ANYTHING.

Chris backs up Nikki's claims, saying that he wanted to help his friend without asking anything in return "until the director Adrienne encourages me to in front of all cast and crew."

I did think I was being a team player and had a little peer pressure. But EVERYONE was in on it.

TLC is yet to respond to Nikki's claims although she is confident that whatever response the company will give, Chris will have her back all the way.
