A Basic Plan for Health

Would you do something simple if you knew it would keep you healthy? There are many actions we can - and should - take to improve our health, such as exercising, eating better and watching our weight, but they aren't always easy. However, there is one simple step we can take each day: adding nutrients to our diets through a safe, convenient, sound nutritional supplement program.

A high-quality basic supplement program can also take the guesswork out of trying to determine which nutrients are needed, from what source and in what amounts. What should your program include? There are seven essential categories of 63 basic elements or groups that you need to put into your body every day:

Seven Essential Complexes
1. Vitamins and Basic Antioxidants
2. Minerals
3. Essential Fatty Acids
4. Fruit and Vegetable Extracts
5. Super Antioxidants
6. Enzymes for Digestion/Absorption
7. Brain, Cell and Nervous System Complex

Vitamins and Basic Antioxidants
This group includes Vitamin D; eight B-Vitamins (Folic Acid, Biotin, and B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 ); Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, which are also antioxidants; and carotenoids, which include beta carotene, lycopene and lutein.

These vitamins and antioxidants need to be in amounts that are optimal (levels at which research show them to be beneficial) and in forms that are best absorbed by the body.

Mineral Complex
In addition to adequate potencies of the well-known minerals calcium, potassium, magnesium and zinc, a complete mineral supplement needs to include other essential minerals, such as chromium, vanadium, copper, manganese, iodine, molybdenum, selenium, silica and boron.

A compound that contains trace amounts of the full spectrum of 70+ minerals is another important, but often lacking, component of a comprehensive mineral complex.

Essential Fatty Acids
Essential fatty acids have been shown to play a role in everything from cardiovascular, joint, brain, eye and skin health to reducing inflammation and depression, with more evidence continually coming out showing their extraordinary and far-reaching benefits.

Marine, or fish oil is the best source of DHA and EPAomega-3 fatty acids, while evening primrose oil contains the omega-6 fatty acid gamma-linolenic acids.

Fruit and Vegetable Extracts
While the nutritional value of our food is diminishing, technology has allowed us to take the concentrated extracts of fruits and vegetables and put them into a supplement form. Taking these supplements will not completely replace the fruits and veggies we need to have in our diet, but they do insure that we get these vital compounds on a consistent basis.

Super Antioxidants
In addition to the basic antioxidants, there is a new class of potent antioxidants that neutralize free radicals on a cellular level in various systems throughout our bodies - from our eyes to blood cells to allergy response.

Alpha lipoic acid , bilberry powder , Coenzyme Q10, glutathione, grape seed/skin extracts, quercetin, PABA, green tea extract and N-acetyl-L-cysteine are some of the nutrients that should be included in a super antioxidant complex.

Enzymes for Digestion/Absorption
Any basic nutrient support program should also include specific compounds for the digestion and absorption of the vitamins, minerals, extracts and other elements included. By including various digestive enzymes such as amylase, protease, lipase, lactase and cellulose within the supplement, we are able to absorb the ingredients even better and improve our overall digestion as well.

Brain, Cell and Nervous System Complex
The nervous system is so highly specialized, it needs is own unique supplements to support it. As we get older, we especially need elements such as choline, inositol and phosphatidylserine, which are essential for memory, brain, and nervous system function.

God did not design these elements to be taken alone; He put them in combinations in the foods we eat so they could all work together and support each other to keep sickness away from us. Starting a supplement program to put these seven essential complexes into your daily diet may well be one of the easiest steps you can take towards better health. This is all part of God's plan for our lives; He wants us to walk in health.

My Basic Nutrient Support program contains all of the seven nutrient complexes, which together provide more than 60 vitamins, minerals, herbs, antioxidants, essential fatty acids, plant extracts and other nutrients to keep you on a Pathway to Healing and optimal health.
