A Shakeup At Firehouse 51 In Next Episode Of 'Chicago Fire'
After a break, "Chicago Fire" is back and Season 4 brought in a host of new characters that shook up the old situations. Dawson is pregnant and will not be able to handle field work so she moves to the arson department, the Casey – Nesbitt crisis continued, while Severide struggles to get back to his previous position.
This next episode is titled "A Taste of Panama City." Here is the official synopsis from NBC: "Members of the firehouse are frustrated with their inability to help Chief Boden, whose job is on the line pending an internal investigation in the aftermath of a complicated call to a fire. Meanwhile, Lt. Severide struggles to accept his smaller role and adjusts to the presence of Capt. Patterson (guest star Brian White), his new commanding officer. Dawson shakes things up on the work front and Casey attempts to find a crucial piece of evidence in his ongoing investigation against Nesbitt (guest star Eric Mabius)."
The lives of the members of this firehouse are no longer the same. The third season ended with Gabriela Dawson finding out that she was pregnant with Matthew Casey's baby. Casey and Dawson are expecting a baby in Season 4 of "Chicago Fire."
The decision to reunite Casey and Dawson surprised even the cast members. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Matt Olmstead said that separating the two just when they're expecting a baby doesn't seem to fit the essence of the show. He tells the media outlet, "It's a Chicago show, it's a heartland show, there's something sweet about them together ... They're really the core of the show."
Kelly Severide is struggling to work under the new boss and accept the demotion. There will also be some romance in store for him when he meets someone at a seminar which he was required to go to as part of his disciplinary action. However, he has a dilemma. Should he continue in Firehouse 51 in face of the embarrassment of the demotion and work on a relationship with his new boss, or should he find employment elsewhere?
The members of the firehouse are getting restless as Chief Boden is under internal investigation. Casey is still on the hunt for evidence to nail Nesbitt.
