If the if the Big Apple is more your style, then take in a Broadway show or shop till you drop in New York City. If you like the warm weather then Phoenix might be just the place for your family's needs. Also, known as the Valley of the Sun -- Phoenix offers families tons of activities like gold panning expeditions, golf and several top resorts. If you have some history buffs in your family, then Washington D.C. is the place to visit. Stroll through the Smithsonian's many exhibits or take a tour of the Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln Monuments. D.C. also has several trendy boutiques in Georgetown and several good eateries that are satisfying to the pickiest eaters.
If you want to have some real excitement and adventure all rolled into one? Then try a theme park. At Busch Gardens, not only are there thrill rides but also animals including a flock of lively lorikeets inside Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's Lory Landing aviary. At Knott's Berry Farm in sunny California, the park has several areas of adventure including Ghost Town where the Old West comes to life, Fiesta Village a tribute to Spanish California, The Boardwalk with shows that hit the beach, at Camp Snoopy visit the Peanuts gang and Wild Water Wilderness. Disneyland has year-round sunshine and plenty of classic rides like the teacups and Magic Mountain even the adults will want to ride along.
