Acer Liquid X2 Release Date & Specs: Offer Triple-SIM Support, 13 MP Rear Camera, 4000 mAh Battery
Acer is chasing the year before it ends by launching a new smartphone which is dubbed as the Liquid X2. According to Softpedia, the tech company is preparing once again for the release of the device after announcing its new Windows 10-powered flagship smartphone, the Jade Primo.
As stated in the source, the Liquid X2 is going to be a mid-range handset that will be equipped with not just the usual feature. In fact, it is said to not be commonly found in other devices. The feature that they are talking about is the triple-SIM support which will allow users to put three SIM cards in the device at the same time. It's a fitting and convenient device for those who needs several numbers for whatever purpose it may serve them.
iDigital Times reported that it will be made available in Asia by January 2016. Malaysian website SoyaCincau detailed that Acer has confirmed the date already. It was expected to arrive in the U.S. in May after being announced in April. But the smartphone was nowhere to be found until the latest reports.
Aside from the unique triple-SIM support, the Liquid X2 is said to sport 5.5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It will also be equipped with a long lasting 4000 mAh battery and a pair of 13-megapixel rear and front cameras.
Under the hood, users can expect to find a 64 bit octa-core processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of built-in storage. To run with Android Lollipop 5.1, the handset will be light with its plastic design. Color options available include black and gold only. It will also feature a quick flip cover for easy viewing of messages without the need to open up the phone.
The price detail of the Acer Liquid X2 is still unknown. It is still to be announced also if it will be released in the U.S.
