Actor's Ear Bitten Off: Clive Mantle Victim of Vicious Attack (VIDEO)

An actor's ear was bitten off in a fight in Newcastle, England on Sunday, according to reports.

"Game of Thrones" actor, Clive Mantle, was reportedly rushed to a local hospital after a part of his ear was bitten off in a brawl that took place at a hotel in northern England.

The British actor was appearing in a theater production in the city called "The Ladykillers." It is alleged that a fight started at the hotel over the noise level of guests, and that led to Mantle's horrific injury.

Mantle was left bleeding after the fight, and he was rushed to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, where surgeons quickly took him into the operating room to re-attach the missing part of his right ear.

Police have arrested a 32 year old man from South Lanarkshire, Scotland in connection with the attack. He has reportedly been charged with wounding with intent, and he is scheduled to appear before a court in April.

Two other men were also arrested in the aftermath of the incident; one has since been released on bail, and the other man was released without charge.

Mantle's spokesperson has said, "He is very shaken and shocked by what has happened; you don't expect this kind of thing to happen in a hotel. The part of the ear that was bitten off was found and sewn back on. Mr. Mantle said the police, ambulance and hospital staff were amazing."

Mantle was touring as part of the production of "Ladykillers," but he will now drop out for the coming week as he recovers from the attack. The play is moving to Salford, England and Mantle's part will be filled in by an understudy.

A spokesperson for the theater production has said, "Clive will not be performing in Salford. ... He will most likely miss the whole of this week, then we will reassess the situation early next week."
