Adele Backpedals on 5-Year Hiatus Comment
Adele has clarified the comments she made in an interview with Vogue, saying that she is not seriously planning on taking five years away from her blossoming career yet.
During the interview, the Grammy-dominating "Rolling in Deep" singer said: "I am f------ off for four or five years. If I am constantly working, my relationships fail. So at least now I can have enough time to write a happy record. And be in love and be happy."
Then she added, "And then I don't know what I'll do. Get married. Have some kids. Plant a nice vegetable patch."

The singer has now backpedaled on her statement, however, telling fans on her official blog, she may have been over-exaggerating just a little on that remark.
"I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!" she wrote.
She told fans in the Vogue interview, however, that it would take her about three years to produce another album, as she wants to maintain the high standards she has set with her current album 21.
"I won't come out with new music until it's better than 21. … So yeah, I will need at least three years to write a record," she said.
Adele said she was filled with emotion about having won six Grammys at the awards show last Sunday.
"I'm absolutely flabbergasted! In between laughing my head off, welling up, needing to sit down and trying to maintain an open fire."
She also expressed regret for forgetting to thanking everyone she wanted to in her emotional acceptance speech.
"I forgot to mention so many people by name on the night, and for that I'm sorry. I will say thanks to your face when I next see you. I was totally unprepared," she said.
