Adele Standing Ovation in Amazing Comeback Performance at Grammys (VIDEO)
Adele took home an amazing six awards at the Grammys Sunday night, winning the Album of the Year, and receiving a standing ovation for her comeback performance, which blew the audience away.
Adele, who hasn't sung live since she had throat surgery at the end of last year, will take all the headlines alongside the various tributes to recently passed Whitney Houston. The "Rolling in the Deep" singer also took home the song of the year for that song, and sung that same song for her live performance at the event.
When she won her best song award she thanked her producer Paul Epworth for his hand in creating the stunning song.
It was left to Gwyneth Paltrow to introduce Adele's performance, which had been highly anticipated by fans and critics alike, who were wondering whether she would be able to return as powerfully as she had left for her throat surgery last November.
Adele did not disappoint, launching into an epic performance which was both stunning and moving. When she had finished the entire Grammys audience took to their feet to clap and congratulate the singer for an amazing comeback performance.
Sir Paul McCartney, who performed to close out the night, was clearly impressed with Adele's performance, as was Rihanna, who could be seen waving her hands in the air in support.
