Adrienne Maloof Defends Sean Stewart Relationship: 'Age Is Just A Number'

Adrienne Maloof has defended her relationship with British rock musician Rod Stewart's son Sean following criticism about their 19-year age gap.

The recently divorced "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, 51, recently went public about her new found romance with the 32-year-old. After being branded a "cougar by critics, the reality star insists that "age is just a number," according to TMZ.

"It's about how good of a person you are!" Maloof reportedly told TMZ.com. [Sean] is a very funny guy. He's very giving, he mentors at the mission, works with at-risk children, and gives his time and money to get children off the streets."

The pair, who met through a mutual friend, was spotted kissing as they left the Crustacean restaurant in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

"Adrienne is enjoying dating," a source close to Maloof told People magazine.

Just days prior, Maloof, who finalized her divorce from Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Paul Nassif in November, enjoyed dinner with Sean at Koi in Los Angeles.

"They looked really cute and comfortable together, definitely like they've known each other a long time," one onlooker told In Touch magazine. "They were sitting really close and talking in each other's ear and then ordered food to share."

Maloof, who was born in to the prominent and wealthy Maloof family, filed for divorce in 2012 after 10 years of marriage to Nassif. In a joint statement, the exes confirmed that they are ready to move on with their lives for the sake of their three children after enduring a messy divorce.

"We're happy to announce we have reached agreement on a [divorce] settlement," the pair previously told TMZ.com via their rep, Jim Yeager. "We want the best for each other and we're confident we can help each other make a continuing positive impact with our children."
