After Hearing This Story, You'll Want to Shave Your Head for This 11-Year-Old Girl Too!
11-year-old Paige LaRosa is a fun spirited girl who loves to play sports and is always in a happy mood. After having some issues and feeling sick, she noticed something didn't feel right. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and her parents were in disbelief. When the community finds out, they do something extremely heartwarming.
"We were caught off guard, overwhelmed. One minute you're [at the doctor] for abdominal pain, next thing you know, it's cancer," Paige's father told NBC.
It was an unfortunate event, that effected everyone in the community. She is a joyful soul that has made a positive impact on everyone that no one forgot. When they found out about the cancer, they do not let her face treatment alone.
More than 500 people gathered at a local firehouse to shave their heads in solidarity and offer donations to the LaRosa family. 12 hairdressers were on-site for the "Shave-a-thon" and it was set up by her father.
