'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 2 Cast News, Spoilers: Actor Talks About Character's Future
Following the news on actor Kyle MacLachlan's reprisal on an upcoming Showtime revival of hit drama series "Twin Peaks," the 55-year-old "Blue Velvet" star also talked about his character on the popular crime fighting Marvel TV series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
An interview with the actor on TV Line revealed that MacLachlan was "pleasantly surprised" by the direction the show intended for his recurring character.
"I think it's only going to get more difficult [for Skye and Cal]," MacLachlan told Carter Matt. "When they hand me the scripts, I'm always pleasantly surprised by the direction they take the character in and what they're asking me to do."
"I like playing his scary side, and I like playing the father and man who has been through a lot," MacLachlan went on to say.
Teasing further about the daughter and father drama that both he and Bennet (as Skye) played on the superhero show, MacLachlan said that their situation would only "get more difficult" even after he was spared prior to Skye's "transformation."
Just like the fans of the show, several cast members also showed their excitement on MacLachlan's involvement with S.H.I.E.L.D. A report from Enstarz.com cited actress Ming-Na Wen (as May) posting on her social media a photo of her and the Doctor during the holidays.
"Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" returns for the second half of its Season 2 on March 3 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
