'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 5 Spoilers: Squad Takes on a Kree Assassin
Coulson's (Clark Gregg) and his team will soon hunt down a Kree assassin in the upcoming season of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
According to CBR, the ABC series has been looking for an actor who will play the role of Sals-Bek, a killer who once hunted the Royal Family of Attilan in the comics. The Kree is described as an obscure character who appeared in the 1995 copy of "Inhumans: The Great Refuge." His assignment was to kill Black Bolt and his other Inhuman friends while they were on Earth. Speculations are rife that Sals-Bek's inclusion in the series is a hint that there will be a crossover with the other ABC show, "Inhumans," soon.
Previously, "Inhumans" showrunner Scott Buck revealed that they have no immediate plans for a crossover. According to him, the series would stand alone and separate from "S.H.I.E.L.D." for now, but this could change in the future.
"It was certainly not their intention, but it proved very fortuitous that way, that people who watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are already sort of familiar with Terrigenesis. And now we get to bring you the world where it all comes from, so that's definitely fun," Buck said. "Sure, some time in the future, there may be some sort of [crossover] — as it is right now, we stand completely alone and separate from the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but who knows what the future might bring?"
Meanwhile, the new season of "S.H.I.E.L.D." will see what will happen to the romantic pairs in the team. Spoilers reveal that Mack (Henry Simmons) and Elena (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) will do fine on their own, while Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) will continue to struggle. Simmons will reportedly need more time to forget the things that Fitz did while they were in the Framework with AIDA (Mallory Jansen).
Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 5 two-hour premiere will air Friday, Dec. 1, at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
