'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3 has Quake and Coulson in tactical suits inspired by Marvel Comics.
The look of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 has been revealed and the agents seem battle-ready in suits that are inspired by Marvel Comics. Chloe Bennet is wearing a tactical field outfit that reminds us of the Black Widow catsuits worn by Scarlet Johansson in the "Avengers" movies. This "Quake" costume also takes inspiration from the way Daisy Johnson dresses in the comics.
Chloe Bennet is also sporting a much shorter haircut to play the mysterious Daisy Johnson a.k.a.Quake.
In the comic books, Daisy Johnson has a very short but sexy type of haircut. Chloe Bennet spoke to PEOPLE about the new look. "We wanted to stay true to the comic book character fans love; I wanted to please them but also make sure there was still some movement and length and sexiness in the hair."

The costume designer for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Ann Foley, collaborated with Bennet to design the new tactical suits and the gauntlets. The gauntlest are actually power gauntlets that make the Bennet's character confident in her strength. According to the Los Angeles Times, Foley says, "It's about strength. She feels very empowered in it…. That's what was important to me, that she felt empowered to me. I wanted to stay true to some of the designs I saw in the comics. In the style lines, I wanted to pay a little bit of a tribute to her tactical ability from last season, but we also incorporated the Quake symbol into her gauntlets and on the back of her suit."
The gauntlets are a symbol of power with the Quake symbol designed into it. The gauntlets are not as large as they appear in the comic books. The size is just right as they help Daisy a.k.a. Quake to stabilize and control her powers of vibration.
The Quake symbol has been very cleverly and subtly designed into the back fabric of the tactical suit and the whole suit plus gauntlet is a visual indentifier for Quake.
The poster of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has a cool-looking Coulson played by Clark Gregg. He is wearing a single glove and is sleek-looking in a leather outfit.
In this season's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," viewers are going to see the Agents in stylish and Avengers-inspired gear. Viewers also know that Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will hit the theatres soon and the TV characters with these new costumes might crossover to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future.
