Aguilera on Fallon: Unusual 'Your Body' Performance (VIDEO)
Christina Aguilera has delivered a surprising performance of her new song "Your Body" while on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" this week.
The show's host, Fallon, as well as musical group The Roots, joined Aguilera for the performance that incorporated office supplies as instruments.
Fallon opened the musical number by using beeps from a cell phone, while Aguilera supported her vocals with a stapler.
A tape dispenser, Kleenex box, iPhone, a water jug, and many other items substituted as instruments during the clip, available on YouTube.
Even more unusual was Aguilera's hairstyle on the show. The "Voice" mentor debuted bright red tips for her signature platinum blonde locks.
This is not the first time Fallon and The Roots have joined in on a performance. The "Late Night" host and the Grammy Award-winning hip hop group performed alongside Carly Rae Jepsen on her song "Call Me Maybe" while playing children's instruments earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Aguilera's official video for "Your Body" has accumulated over 22 million views on YouTube. The track comes from the singer's new album "Lotus," available next week.
"Can't wait for you all to hear it," she wrote to her Twitter followers last month.
The divorced singer, who is mom to 4-year-old Max, will be releasing her first album since 2010's "Bionic."
"If you love [my 2002 hit song] 'Fighter,' you're going to love my new album," Aguilera assured Lucky magazine. "As a 31-year-old woman, I've been uncovering my independence, and it's been really fun to explore new songs."
The 31-year-old singer has remained busy ahead of her latest album's release. Last Friday, Aguilera offered her vocals during the Hurricane Sandy Tribute Concert benefitting those affected by the storm, including Staten Island.
After sharing that she had grown up on Staten Island, Aguilera sang a rendition of her hit song "Beautiful."
