Al Roker Denies Animosity on 'Today Show,' Welcomes Gossip: 'More People Will Tune In'
Al Roker has made a series of attempts to spite the "Today Show" according to a report, which states that the anchor is angry over Ann Curry getting the boot.
Al Roker is allegedly angry over the fact that Ann Curry, who has been described as his "bestest friend in the world," was given the boot on the "Today Show" in an attempt to boost ratings. It also appears that the anchor is putting the brunt of the blame on Matt Lauer, and he may not be the only one.
A number of reports have come forward stating that older producers on the "Today Show" believe that Lauer is the one responsible for Curry being fired.

"There are several producers that have been with the TODAY Show for a very long time, over 10 years, and Matt Lauer is now hated by them because they feel that he is responsible for Ann Curry's being fired," a source told Radar Online earlier this week.
Al Roker has also made a series of awkward statements according to others, one of which included an attack suggesting that Lauer was responsible for Curry being fired.
"The tradition here in New York is you throw her in the Hudson River," Lauer said on Thursday while talking about the Olympic U.S. women's team tradition of throwing a player after a race.
"Which is different than our tradition, which is you throw one of us under the bus. But that's another story," Roker responded.
Angelina Jolie has even been rumored to be throwing her support behind Ann Curry, suggesting that she would be willing to do a personal interview but only with Curry and refusing an interview with anyone on the "Today Show."
"Angelina reached out to Ann Curry after she was fired from her gig on the TODAY show and was very clear, if any news programme from NBC wants an interview with her, or Brad (Pitt), Ann will be the only one to do it," a second source told Radar.
Roker later denied that there was any animosity between him and other workers on the "Today Show," adding that he cared for Ann Curry, but was only making a joke on Thursday.
"I miss Ann and I love Ann, but to be clear, The 'under the bus' joke was one we've made dozens of times. Nothing more, nothing less," the news anchor posted on Twitter.
He admitted that he didn't understand the bad rumors but was glad for the extra publicity given the show's dwindling ratings.
"Why some online sites are trying to create something where there's nothing is beyond me. Like it or not, we actually get along on," Roker said. "The good news, the more they mention us, trying to foment trouble, the more people will tune in."
