Modern Day Aladdin Rides Magic Carpet Around New York City
Ever wanted to see a whole new world with Aladdin on his magic carpet? Well, that's what you'll find in New York City.
Using remote control technology, a couple of pranksters recently simulated a low-flying carpet in the Big Apple, wowing passersby.
Dressed as a hip version of the movie character Aladdin from the hit 1990s Disney film of the same name, the rider and his carpet hover about the busy streets of New York.
As he goes about, people laugh, shout in amazement, and, of course, whip out their smartphones to capture the moment for posterity.
Uploaded to YouTube on Oct. 30, as of Wednesday afternoon the video has already garnered over 8.6 million views.
It also accumulated more than 265,000 likes and about 3,000 dislikes — presumably from fans of Jafar and Iago.
Complete with a cool remix of the Genie's theme song from the film, you can behold the magic carpet in the nation's largest city.
