Alcatel Idol Pro 4 Alleged Render Leaks, Rumored Specs include Windows 10 Mobile, Snapdragon 820
French-Chinese smartphone manufacturer Alcatel recently unveiled its Idol 4 during the MWC 2016. But what's making a buzz lately is a Pro variant of the device. According to a report by Phone Arena, the company may be releasing a handset dubbed as the Idol Pro 4. The device is said to be a Windows 10 "superphone" with support for Continuum. And though it is still a rumor, an alleged render of the device leaked via serial tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks).
Blass posted the render via his Twitter account. He did not include in a lot of details but he suggested that the Idol Pro 4 is just a Windows 10 variants of the Alcatel Idol 4S, which is an Android Marshmallow-powered device officially unveiled at MWC 2016.
Reports say that the Idol Pro 4 looks similar to the Idol 4S and as detailed in MS Power User, the latter sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. The two devices are also the same in terms of its build which is metal and glass. A front-facing camera with LED flash is also seen on the Idol Pro 4.
But unlike the Idol 4S which carries a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652, the Idol Pro 4 is rumored to be equipped with the fastest processor of the Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 820. Chinatopix also reported that the rumored smartphone is said to come with a high resolution display. It's also said to be equipped with Windows 10 Mobile Redstone 1. A 22-megapixel primary camera is also said to be featured along with a 10-megapixel front camera.
As of now, there aren't much details available regarding the specs and features of the Idol Pro 4. But if it is true that it will be similar to the Idol 4S, the rumored device may also come with 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded further up to 512 GB via microSD card slot.
