Alessandra Ambrosio and Boy Oh Boy, What to Name Her First Son?
Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio has announced that she will be giving birth to a baby boy, with the due date set for May.
The model announced that she was having a boy on Facebook, revealing a picture of herself lying on a beach with "It's a Boy" engraved in the sand.
"We really tried to keep it a surprise but we were too anxious!" she wrote beneath the picture. "Soon, we will have a little boy to rock our world!!"
This will be the model's second child with fiancé Jamie Mazur; the couple also has a three-year-old daughter named Anja.
"I have wanted a boy for a long time. I actually thought my first baby was going to be a boy, but then, of course, was very happy to get a girl," Ambrosio told E! Online. "But now I am getting a boy as well, it's absolutely perfect. It's the best news."
Although the model now knows the sex of the baby, she admitted that she had very few name ideas.
"Before I found out the gender, I had lots of girls names picked out, but no boys names," she said. "That's the hardest part! I have five good names for a girl and really none for a boy. I want something that works well in both Portuguese and English. It can't be too American or my grandmother won't be able to pronounce it!"
Ambrosio is one of the world's top earning models. Aside from modeling and occasional television appearances, she also has her own swimsuit line. However Ambrosio's modeling career didn't falter after she gave birth to her first daughter. She walked Victoria Secret's fashion show only three months after giving birth to her daughter and opened for the 2009 show. In 2011 she wore the heaviest angel wings (30 pounds) ever made for the show.
Of course that means that Ambrosio doesn't just sit idle while she is pregnant. She revealed to E! that she has tried to stay fit and active.
"I am feeling really good. My back is starting to hurt a little bit, but I am doing yoga three times a week and taking walks on the beach, so that is helping. I'm waking up every three hours in the night though, so that's not as fun. But aside from that, this pregnancy has been really easy," the model remarked.
