Alex Trebek Heart Attack, 'Jeopardy' Host Resting
"Jeopardy" game show host Alex Trebek has suffered a mild heart attack Saturday, but is expected to make a full recovery.
The 71-year-old television icon was treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and is seeking further testing at the facility, according to Sony Television spokesperson Paula Askanas.
Askanas added that Trebek is in "good spirits," according to the Los Angeles Times.

"He is expected to fully recover and be back at 'Jeopardy' when production begins taping in July for the new season, the show's 29th," said Askanas.
The heart attack was Trebek's second. His first mild heart attack occurred in 2007, after which he returned to work after just one month. The long-running quiz show host will turn 72 on July 22.
"Jeopardy" debuted in 1964 and has seen Trebek host since 1984. The show features trivia in history, literature, arts, pop culture, science, sports, geography, wordplay, and many other topics. It has seen numerous international adaptations since its debut.
In addition to hosting "Jeopardy" in May, Trebek hosted the national finals of the National Geographic Bee- a similar contest to the spelling bee but for geography. The year before, he hosted the Bee's world championship in San Francisco. During the same time, the game show host famously ruptured his Achilles tendon after chasing a suspected burglar at his hotel.
Following his heart attack, Alex Trebek became a trending topic on Twitter with hundreds of concerned fans sounding off.
"Alex Trebek had a mild heart attack," wrote Vokal News. "Please don't take my favorite game show host from me!!!"
"I feel back for Alex Trebek," posted Lola, while Mark wrote, "Get well soon Alex Trebek."
"Oh No," wrote Megan. "He's sic an icon… Hope he's ok."
Referring to the game show, Daniel joked, "I'll take 'Speedy Recovery' for $1000."
