Alex Vega Posts Revealing Photo From 'Machete Kills'
Alexa Vega of "Spy Kids" fame is flaunting her grown-up body as she posts sexy photos of herself on her social media accounts. The latest picture she released was a shot from her new movie "Machete Kills."
In the new photo, the now 24-year-old is seen scantily clad and holding a gun. Some say the costume is too sexy for the "Sky Kid."
Vega told The Hollywood Reporter, "The first time I walked out in my outfit on set, everyone was like, 'Wow, you're not allowed to wear that.'
"This was all about owning my sexuality. I worked really hard for it in a way that I never had to work hard for something else before."
Vega is best known for her role as Carmen Cortez in the "Spy Kids" film series. The first film was released in 2001 when she was only 12 years old at the time.
Daughter of an American former model and a Columbian father, Vega was named one of the hottest teen celebrities in Vanity Fair's 2003 issue.
In 2007, she starred as Penny Pingleton in the Broadway musical "Hairspray." She has since taken a lead role in "Helix," ABC Family's "Ruby and the Rockits," "From Prada to Nada" "Mother's Day," "The Clockwork Girl" (Animated), "Summer Song" and the latest installment of the Spy Kids series, "Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World."
"Machete Kills," starring Mel Gibson, Sofía Vergara, Jessica Alba, Vanessa Hudgens, and Amber Heard, releases in theaters in 2013.
