Alexander Skarsgård's Bald Haircut News: Actor Shaved Off Middle Part, Invokes Shocked Reactions
It takes a lot of courage to bring Alexander Skarsgård's new hairdo to the red carpet. That's what the Swedish actor did at a New York Event on Friday, Oct. 27, when he showed off his clean-shaven dome, complete with a donut of hair on the sides.
Skarsgård, at 41 years old, looked even older just before the weekend as he stepped under the lights of the Volez Voguez Voyagez x Louis Vuitton event in New York. The "It" star may have taken a cue from his recent role, shaving clean just the top middle part of his hair while keeping a ring of tuft on the side, in a style that's sometimes called the "Power Donut."
He was earlier spotted keeping his head warm under a navy beanie, which he got rid off later under the full glare of the red carpet lights, according to People.
This could be part of his preparation for his role in the upcoming drama "The Hummingbird Project." While some may opt for the prosthetics route, the Emmy-award winning actor could have decided to go all in on his new character with the new look, one which calls to mind a middle-aged executive or an aging sports commentator, perhaps.
It's a style that's not without its critics, GQ being one among those who do not thoroughly approve. The look might be one the actor tried out on a whim, and it will go back to normal in a few months, unlike other men around the world who, due to bad genes, have to sport the look for the rest of their lives.
A closeup of his shaved peak would later show up on social media, posted by what is believed to be Skarsgård's secret Instagram account. The post just says "Moonrise," accompanied by a photo of the shaved head, up close and seen from the front.
