All about the 2015 MTV Music Awards Night; Miley Cyrus hosts the event

In what could be one of the biggest nights in a Hollywood year, the hottest stars, most-loved couples, and even "frenemies" will come together to see who wins the hearts of the masses.

To be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015, the 32nd MTV Video Music Awards is expected to take place at the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

According to recent reports, this year will see some major changes as controversial but fan-loved Miley Cyrus steps on stage for the first time as the event's host.

Cyrus has been spilling a few details about her upcoming emceeing, including some colorful Instagram promos that fans deem to shed some light on what she will be doing to take everyone's eyes during the big night.

Among the reported performances that will showcase their songs on the famed stage are: Nick Jonas, who will be singing "Levels," Walk the Moon, to perform "Shut Up and Dance," and The Weeknd, to sport "Can't Feel My Face."

Aside from the mentioned performances, it has been confirmed Sunday that Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams" video will premiere during the VMA preshow.

Presenters for the preshow are Kelly Osbourne and Sway, and come the red carpet, Carly Aquilino, Nessa Diab, and Awkwafina will take the spotlight.

For Video of the Year, Beyoncé has been put on the list for "7/11," Kendrick Lamar for "Alright," and Mark Ronson (featuring Bruno Mars) for "Uptown Funk." While the world-renowned Taylor Swift made it again this year for "Bad Blood," Ed Sheeran has also climbed the ladder for his heart-warmer, "Thinking Out Loud."

Best Male Video nominees include Nick Jonas, Kendrick Lamar, Mark Ronson (feat. Bruno Mars), Ed Sheeran, and The Weeknd.

Dubbed as one of the most sought-after awards, Best Female Video nominees include Beyoncé, Ellie Goulding, Nicki Minaj, Sia, and Taylor Swift.

While there are still more news to be spilled before the big event, the experts say this year's VMA awards could spark bouts and controversies as there have already been previous Twitter battles among stars, including the famous exchange between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj.
