Alleged Video Leak Teases First Glimpse of 'Pokémon GO' Mobile Game
Pokémon fans have been waiting for the upcoming augmented-reality game "Pokémon Go" since last year. The game, which is produced by Nintendo and Niantic Lab, is set to be released this year already. But since its announcement in September 2015, there have been very few details about the game. That is why when an alleged video leak showing what appears to be the first real glimpse of the game surfaced, fans are getting more excited.
According to a report by Game Spot, a one minute and 13 seconds video has been uploaded by YouTube user Eric F. It is said that it contains a footage of Niantic CEO John Hanke talking about his presentation at SXSW. Hanke is not seen on the video though but the source mentioned that the voice explaining sounded like him.
The purported footage is captured using a smartphone and it teases what "Pokémon Go" would look like once gamers start playing with it. Hanke is also heard explaining how the game would work. As seen in the video, the gamer will be able to spot a Pokémon monster with the use of the smartphone. It will try to capture it using a Poké ball. It also demonstrated the monster escaping the ball.

A menu then pops out holding different types of Poké ball. The monster, which is called as Ivysaur, is then recaptured. The gameplay is basically just similar to the mainline games except this one is more exciting as it will use augmented reality.
GottaBeMobile also noted that there will be a profile bar along the bottom of the screen. The profile bar is where players can find the information they need to know about their "Pokémon GO" character. It shows the avatar, the profile name, the kinds of Pokémon that are nearby and their level.
The leaked video does not reveal the possible release date of the game though. But considering the update, it's safe to say that it's coming soon on both iOS and Android.
