Allison Williams Engaged, Meet the 'Girls' Star's Fiancé, Ricky Van Veen

Allison Williams is engaged to longtime boyfriend Ricky Van Veen, as confirmed by the actress' rep this week.

The "Girls" actress and Van Veen have been dating for three years after meeting through mutual friends, and their engagement was confirmed by People.com. However, Williams' fans are left wondering: who is Ricky Van Veen?

Van Veen is the co-founder of CollegeHumor, a popular comedy website which he created as a student at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. Today, the entrepreneur is also the CEO of Notional, a television production company born out of the comedy website. Van Veen, who is believed to be 32 or 33, is also one of the principal owners and founders of Connected Ventures, another offshoot of CollegeHumor that included BustedTees and Vimeo, according to The New Yorker.

Van Veen and Williams have not yet set a wedding date, but the actress who portrays Marnie on HBO's "Girls" admitted she would "walk away from" her career in order to start a family.

"I'd love to be a mom- and not have to bring my kids into my trailer … Or a balance [of both]," said Williams while speaking to Glamour magazine earlier this year. "But you've [got to] call it on the fly to a certain extent."

Furthermore, in an interview with Larry King, Williams revealed that Van Veen was adjusting to her fame well, and getting "very good at taking cell phone pictures" with fans.

The starlet is no stranger to the effects of fame, though. Her father, Brian Williams, is the anchor on NBC Nightly News. Williams also opened up about her father in relation to her then-boyfriend.

"He likes him a lot," she said to King.

As for her father's reaction to the hit show "Girls," which frequently features risqué scenes, Williams said the news anchor approves of it.

"I thought that it would be more uncomfortable than I was," the actress told Anderson Cooper of watching the television series with her famous father. "It's a unique experience."
