Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney, Expecting a Baby?

Social media was rife with speculation that Amal Alamuddin is pregnant after she and George Clooney were seen on a romantic date in Los Angeles over the weekend.

But a spokesman for the couple flatly denied the pregnancy rumors, saying "Amal Clooney is not pregnant."

The recently wed couple was photographed leaving Hollywood prime spot Soho House after an evening out with friends on Saturday, Dec. 6. Amal looked radiant in a tiered black dress and a cream coat.

In the photographs, the British barrister's coat appeared to be concealing a baby bump as TMZ noted, "Coats generally don't hang out from your body, and the placement of her hands adds fuel to the fire."

At one point, Amal was photographed placing her hands on her stomach, causing observers to wonder if she was with child. Moreover, photos taken from various angles made it appear as if her tummy was slightly protruding from her slender frame.

Amal even had her velvet maroon clutch and her phone strategically placed right in front of her stomach, as if she was concealing a baby bump as she said goodbye to friends.

This is not the first time that Clooney's rep has issued a denial regarding a possible pregnancy. According to Us Weekly, the actor's rep stated in September that the barrister was bearing Clooney's child after she was photographed in a loose maxi dress which gave the illusion of a tiny baby bump.

It was reported that Amal's father, Ramzi Alamuddin, couldn't wait for the pair to start having children. At their wedding reception, Ramzi jokingly told the couple, "Now, it's time for grandchildren!" The couple married on Sept. 27 in front of family and friends in Venice, Italy.
