Amanda Bynes DUI Charges? Faces New Charges in Driving License Drama
Amanda Bynes has been charged with two counts of driving on a suspended license Friday, according to celebrity news site TMZ.
Bynes was reportedly pulled over last Sunday outside Burbank Airport and was cited twice by the same authority police official – the two incidents occurred an hour-and-a-half apart - for driving on a suspended license.
According to senior assistant city attorney Denny Wei, Byne's car was impounded and she is schedule to appear at Burbank Superior Court by Oct. 16. For each offense the maximum sentence is 6 months in jail.
Bynes, 26, has also been involved in two accidents - a drunken driving case and a hit-and-run case. A judge revoked her driver's license in August.
During this hearing last week, the judge denied a request of a $50,000 bail to be set on Bynes for her DUI by the District Attorney's Office. However, a very high bail amount will be set if Bynes breaks any more driving rules.
The actress, who had her own TV comedy sketch show on Nickelodeon at the age of 13, has denied drinking and driving saying the accusations are all false.
"I am doing amazing (…)," she told People earlier this week. "I don't drink and drive. It is all false."
However, a source told People, "She tells people she doesn't party or drink. She doesn't realize she has a problem."
According to the magazine, Bynes is retiring as an actress and is now moving to New York where she will launch a new career: "I am going to do a fashion line."
