'The Amazing Spiderman 3' Release Date: Spin Off Films to Premiere Ahead of 2018 Sequel
It is being reported that 'The Amazing Spiderman 3' movie will not make its premiere until four years from now, presumably to make way for three spin-off films from the series.
It is said that 'The Amazing Spiderman 2's not so impressive box office earnings and lukewarm reception among critics may have been instrumental in changing Sony's priorities when it comes to releasing the film.
According to Screenrant, the film 'Sinister Six', which follows a team of Spiderman super-villains will be released on Nov. 11, 2016. This will be the first among the announced spin off films. It will have some serious competition that month though, as the Harry Potter spinoff, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' will be released a week before. The website reports that Paul Giamatti and Dane DeHaan have already signed on for the film, and others who are being speculated to join the cast are Felicity Jones and Jamie Foxx.

Another spinoff, tentatively titled 'Venom Carnage' will hit theaters in 2017. It is reported that the movie is a big priority for the studio, and filming will begin right after 'Sinister Six' wraps up.
Meanwhile, Deadline is reporting that a Spiderman female superhero movie is in the works as well. Though the movie has been slated to premiere in 2017, there is no word as to which female character in the Spiderman universe will be heading the film. Rumors of Spiderwoman, Silver Sable, or Black Cat getting her own film are currently circulating as Sony keeps mum about its plans for it.
There is no word yet whether Andrew Garfield will be reprising his role as Spiderman in all of the spinoff films, however, MoviePilot is reporting that he will be back for the third installment of 'The Amazing Spiderman' film. There is a lot of speculation though as to who will play his new love interest.
It can be recalled (*spoiler alert from Spiderman 2) that in the last film, Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone, fell to her death though Spiderman tried to save her while battling with the Green Goblin. There are rumors that Shailene Woodley, Deborah Ann Woll, or Margot Robbie could be up for the role of Mary Jane. However, there are other more far-fetched reports claiming that Stone could be back, not as Gwen, but as Mary Jane Watson. Quite how script writers will write that into the next movie would be interesting to see.
'The Amazing Spiderman 3' is slated to premiere on May 4, 2018.
