Amazon Prime New Releases October 2017: 'Inside Edge,' 'Lore,' 'City of Ghosts' and More

A lot of Amazon originals will arrive and return next month on the streaming service along with the latest seasons of some of the most popular shows out there.

"Inside Edge" is a brand-new series that follows the story of the Mumbai Mavericks in their journey to the Powerplay League premieres on Prime on Oct. 9.

The new horror anthology "Lore," which is based on the podcast series of the same name by Lore Aaron Mahnke, will be available on Amazon Video on Oct. 13. It will feature a new story every episode all of which are based on terrifying real-life events.

On the same day, "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters," which is a remake of the television series that first aired in 1973, will premiere as well. By Oct. 20, the Amazon coming of age comedy "Red Oaks" returns for its third season.

Amazon Video will also make the latest seasons of "Family Guy," "The Last Man on Earth" and "Mr. Robot" available for streaming next month.

As far as movies go, Amazon will start the month of October with a slew of horror and thriller movies to get Prime users in the Halloween spirit like "Apartment 1303" and "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and will throw some classics in there like the 1995 teen film romance "Clueless" and the 1996 comedy crime film "Fargo."

On Oct. 13, the critically acclaimed documentary "City of Ghosts," which follows the story of the Syrian media activist group Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently. Users can follow it up with the war film "The Wall," which drops Oct. 20.

In between, Amazon subscribers can treat themselves with memorable films from last year like "Jack Reacher: Never Back Down" and "Arrival."

For Amazon Video users, they can expect the most recent movie releases to drop next month including "The Dark Tower," "The Emoji Movie" and "Cars." Check out the complete list here.
