Amazon's Best Christian Music and Best Christian Songs of 2010
Amazon released its lists of the Best Christian Music and the Best Christian songs of 2010.
Newcomer Audrey Assad, 27, proved to be the most popular up and coming artist for the year 2010, making way for her to take the number one slot on the first list. Additionally, she also received mention in the "Top 10 Albums of 2010" in both Relevant Magazine and Gospel Music Channel online.
Assad commented on CMSpin, "I am honored and humbled by the response to 'The House You're Building.' I spent so much time pouring my heart and soul into the songs, and to know that people are moved by them in any capacity is more than enough reward for those efforts. 2010 was an incredible year for me; I moved to Phoenix, I released a record and I got engaged! It feels like too many blessings for such a little life, but I am truly grateful."
Singer/songwriter Christ August took the second spot in the Best Christian Music rankings with his debut album No Far Away where he tells his personal story of brokenness and restoration.
Some of the celebrity musicians in the list include Chris Tomlin for And If Our God Is for Us... (No. 7), Third Day for Move (No. 8), and Christian metalcore band Underoath for Disambiguation (No. 9).
Meanwhile, the Best Christian Songs listed by Amazon include "What Love Really Means" by Jj Heller, "Get Back Up" by TobyMac, "Beautiful" by MercyMe, "I Will Follow" by Chris Tomlin and "Your Love" by Brandon Heath.
The average consumer rating for the artists was five out of five stars.
