Amber Rose News: Former Stripper Continues Rant on Double Standard
Amber Rose isn't done ranting about double standards in Hollywood.
After citing that Beyonce's almost naked stunts on her stage performances escape criticism from people, she cited another example of double standards in the person of Channning Tatum.
Rose dragged Tatum's past in her attempt to justify her claims of unfair perception in Hollywood. Just like her, Tatum also confessed of his stripper past. However, Rose opined that the fact that Tatum is well-received by the public via his hit movies and is included in high-profile Hollywood events are a clear indication of double standards in Hollywood.
"Look at Channing Tatum. He was a stripper just like me. No one says s***… he's at the f***ing Oscars. He's at the Vanity Fair party. You know what I'm saying?" she said in an interview with Huffington Post.
Rose's latest rant stems from her claims that her past as stripper is being mocked, despite the fact that, for her, it was the best time of her life.
"… I was young, and beautiful making a hundred thousand dollars in cash a year. How f***ing fun was that? I had a bunch of friends, it was a party every night – I get ridiculed for that," she vented.
Earlier, Rose received a backlash from the fans of Beyonce after dragging the singer in a statement she made in defense of Kim Kardashian, who posted a naked selfie on her Instagram. She reasoned that, while she loves Beyonce, she can't help but point out that the singer performs half-naked in her performances but does not get criticized, simply because she has the talent. She said that how the public responds to Beyonce's flesh-revealing performance wardrobes is a far cry from how she and other former female sex workers are perceived and treated.
Amidst the repercussions of her fiery statements, Rose defended herself on social media by saying that she was merely pointing out the "classism" in society.
