America for Jesus Prayer Rally to Be Broadcast on GOD TV
Organizers are preparing for the upcoming America for Jesus solemn assembly taking place in Philadelphia this weekend, and they are expecting several thousand to come together for the glory of Christ.
In anticipation of what could be a historic prayer rally, GOD TV will broadcast the entire event. The two-day coverage of the event will begin on Friday, Sept, 28 at 8:30 p.m. with Awakening Youth featuring appearances Cindy Jacobs, Lou Engle and Bishop Harry Jackson.
"America is in a state of emergency evidenced by widespread moral depravity and economic meltdown," Anne Gimenez, America for Jesus' national chairperson, said in a statement. "There is only one remedy, we need to renew our covenant with God. We are calling America back to God and proclaiming liberty and freedom over our nation."
America for Jesus is hoping to not only bring together Christians from across the nation to come and speak the goodness of Jesus Christ while trying to mobilize followers of Christ to return home and spread His good word.
America for Jesus was created by the organizers of One Nation Under God, a coalition of ministries that has organized many solemn prayer assemblies across the nation that has reached hundreds of thousands of people.
Since being created in 1995, GOD TV been a part of numerous prayer events in America including The Call and the annual National Day of Prayer. GOD TV is broadcast globally and has several regional offices throughout the world.
"God is calling the Church in the USA to awaken from her slumber," Wendy Alec, GOD TV's director of Television. "We have to be stirred by God's might and power and rise up as a righteous people, who will humble ourselves and cry out to Him so that the enemy's plans for this nation will be reversed."
