'American Horror Story: Freak Show' News: Episode 7 Recap 'Test of Strength,' Episode 8 Plot
The seventh episode of "American Horror Story: Freak Show" titled "Test of Strength" begins with Jimmy at the Mott's home attempting to rescue Bette and Dot. Bette wants to stay with Dandy, but Dot knows what he's really like.
Jimmy brings the twins back to Elsa, and in a musical sequence he sings Nirvana's "Come as You Are," and his rage at Elsa is very evident.
As Jimmy is about to tell everyone in the circus that Elsa sold the twins to Mott, Dot lies and tells them that she was just helping them. In return for keeping the truth from the rest of the freaks, they demand more money from Elsa, approximately half of the show's earnings.
Meanwhile, strongman Dell Toledo is not doing so well. O'Hare sees him and wants him to be his accomplice as he turns all the freaks into museum pieces. O'Hare then asks him to kill Amazon Eve. He presses a chloroformed cloth to her face while she sleeps, but he fails to kill her.
Back at the Freak Show, Elsa gives in to Bette's demand and now she has a new comedienne act. She dyes her hair blonde, and in the act she's "After" and Dot is "Before."
"We call it the Metamorphosis!" they say.
Elsa then asks Dot why she needs the money, and she admits that she wants Elsa to find Dr. Oscar Sugar, the man who separated two conjoined twins. She wants the same operation to separate her from Bette.
Here is the official synopsis for episode 8 titled "Blood Bath":
"Recent disappearances around camp raise Ethel's suspicion of Elsa. Gloria makes a last ditch effort to contain Danny's bloodlust," the summary reads.
"American Horror Story: Freak Show" airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
