Amy Winehouse's Dress Sold for $67K, Designer Donating Proceeds to Singer's Charity
Amy Winehouse's iconic Back to Black dress was sold for $67,120 Tuesday in an auction at a Chilean fashion museum.
The designer of the dress, Disaya, sold the polka dot dress worn on the cover of hit album. The auction also sold dresses donned by Hollywood starlets Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn.
The dress sold for four times the amount predicted. Disaya said she would donate the money to the foundation setup in honor of Winehouse that helps troubled youth battle addiction problems.

The Grammy-award winner's father, Mitch Winehouse, said he was ecstatic with the sale and the plans to donate the funds to the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
"We are just over the moon and we owe a great debt to the designer, Disaya, who donated the proceeds from the sale," he told The Telegraph.
Winehouse rose to international fame in 2006 with the hit song "Rehab" from the Back to Black album. She won five Grammy awards for her work on the album.
The singer drank herself to death on July 23, 2011. Winehouse also battled drug problems for years before her death.
According to a report released by a coroner last month, Winehouse's blood alcohol content was 416 mg per deciliter at the time of her death, more than five times the legal drink-drive limit.
The Amy Winehouse Foundation will also receive a portion of the sales from the singer's new album, Lioness: Hidden Treasures, set to be released Monday.
