Amy's Baking Company Down to 1 Staffer, Owner to Be Deported?

While fans of "Kitchen Nightmares" are ecstatic about the reunion between host Gordon Ramsay and Amy's Baking Company owners Samy and Amy Bouzaglo, the couple is facing serious trouble. They recently spoke about their struggle and what viewers may expect to see when Ramsay returns.

The couple said that Samy is indeed facing deportation for failure to disclose his criminal past in Europe. It was first reported after the Bouzaglos appeared on "Kitchen Nightmares" that Samy had a record and could be deported, but now that is becoming closer to reality and the couple is seeking help with their appeal.

"He's never broken the laws," Amy told AZcentral. "He's only obeyed, respected the law of America. He loves this country and he fights for this country."

The couple became famous for their treatment of staff and their unwillingness to work with Ramsay on implementing changes he thought necessary for the restaurant to succeed. It was the first time that Ramsay ever walked away from a project on his own show, and the Bouzaglos quickly became TV and internet sensations.

As of now, the couple only employs one staff member: a dishwasher.

"My husband and I don't need anybody to work this restaurant," Amy explained. "We don't depend on anybody. Sometimes he doesn't come if he's sick; we can't force him. We're not going to break his leg because he's not coming to work."

The two still blame the "unfair" treatment they received from "Kitchen Nightmares," including reactions from the public, on their lack of success, even though they took tips from their servers and appeared to verbally abuse the staff and customers alike. The follow-up episode, which airs next week, was filmed over the summer and viewers are eager to see how things play out this time around.

"When I open the door they say, 'Kitchen Nightmares.' I say, 'Kitchen Nightmares'? What the [expletive] you want here?" Samy said. "I say it, yes. I say it like this, yes," he confirmed, giving viewers a sneak-peek into the drama.

"Kitchen Nightmares," featuring Amy's Baking Company, airs next Friday night, Feb. 28, on Fox.
