Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich Coming to HTC Amaze 4G in Just Weeks
The HTC Amaze 4G will be receiving the Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in the next few weeks, according to a report from YouMobile.org.
"After a long wait, The HTC Amaze 4G ICS Official update is scheduled to roll-out to all users in the upcoming weeks," wrote the site. "The Update will include Android 4.0.3 and HTC Sense 3.6 UI on top, along with many enhancements and improvements."
The HTC Amaze 4G sports some impressive specifications including a 4.3-inch display with a 540x960 resolution, HTC Sense 3.0 UI, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, and 8-megapixel rear camera, and a dual-core 1.5GHz Scorpion processor.
In other Ice Cream Sandwich news, ASUS recently took to its Twitter account to announce that it would be rolling out the Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade to the ASUS Eee Pad Slider in the U.S. soon.
The company confirmed that the OTA update to Android 4.0 should be available for the device in the very near future, so all who own the Slider should be checking their update button on a regular basis.
ASUS's complete line of tablets is already running Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. All four of them, that is.
The Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade should be coming to the Samsung Galaxy Note in the U.S. quite soon as well.
At a recent media event, AT&T displayed the device running the new software.
"AT&T is currently holding a little shindig at CTIA in New Orleans," said 9to5 Google. "During the event, the company put a Galaxy Note on display running Ice Cream Sandwich."
The Samsung Galaxy S2 is also expected to receive Android 4.0 sometime before the end of the summer in the U.S.
