Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Features Review: Expect Superior Interface and Performance
Google's Android has been given an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update and features a number of improvements for users.
The all important interface on the Jelly Bean has been greatly improved and has combined the best of some of the company's previous builds in the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the tablet-exclusive Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The results provide users with a higher quality interface and an overall better experience.
A sharp blue menu is offered on a black background, with the menus featuring white text and a pretty nice font that catches the eye instantly. Other improvements can bee seen in the homepage, wallpapers and icons among others.
The interface is bright and a good experience visually and users should be able to tell this is a well developed product bringing together what has been learned through years of experience in previous versions.
The Jelly Bean's performance is also fantastic, with Google now adding a Project Butter feature with the firmware.
Project Butter is the major new innovation in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and focuses on making the entire UI "fast, fluid and smooth."
Impressive triple buffering in the graphics pipeline is included, which ensures consistent frame rates with interface animations.
Quad core chipsets are also supported by Jelly Bean leading numerous experts to boast that Jelly Bean now performs as well as both iOS and Windows Phone, which were both previously heralded as better optimized.
