Android 4.2.2, JellyBean Update Confirmed for Sony Xperia ZL
Sony just annnounced that it will be rolling out the Android 4.2.2, JellyBean update for the Xperia ZL
Yesterday Sony revealed the European LTE (C6503), HSPA+ (C6502), and North American (C6506) versions of the ZL.
Some of the updates include a My Xperia app that allows a user to lock and locate their phone from a separate location and will even include space for a 64GB SD card.

Other features are better running Sony apps, a new customizable navigation bar, new widget functions, and larger memory, Android Authority reported.
The ZL is available for $249.99. The smart phone sold 4.6 million units in its first 40 days.
The reason the company was able to do this was due to its decision to launch the smartphone earlier than some of its competitors releasing similar devices. Most tech enthusiasts did not expect it to do this well, but hitting the market before other handsets such as the Galaxy S4 and HTC One gave it a significant advantage.
The Sony flagship smartphone features a 5-inch, 1080p display NFC (near-field-communications), 13-megapixel main camera and a water-resistant exterior.
Other specifications on the Xperia Z include a 1.5GHz asynchronous quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 2GB RAM, one-touch mirroring and 4G LTE.
Sony also introduced the public to the new Xperia ZL, which is another high-end smartphone with the same display camera and processor as the Xperia Z. It comes with one-touch mirroring and 4G LTE and has a maximized display with the highest ratio of screen-to-phone size.
Both devices are extremely impressive and big enough to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. However, they do not feature a comparable accessory to the trademark S Pen that comes with the Galaxy Note. The device will stack up a bit better against the Galaxy S4 and HTC One once they both hit the market.
