Android 4.2.2, JellyBean Update Released for HTC One in Taiwan

Android 4.2.2, JellyBean began rolling out for the HTC One smartphone in Taiwan last week.

The update comes with some new features such as lock screen widgets and a change log for the sense UI feature. Changes have also been made to the notification bar, battery percentages along with the addition of quick settings to the drop down menu. It is said to improve sense 5.0 considerably.

The update is 465MB and the company has not announced when it will begin rolling it out in the U.S. However, it should arrive sometime in the near future.

SamMobile leaked an early firmware build of Android 4.2.2 that can be installed and used on the Galaxy S3 at the end of last month.

The site cautions that the software is still in testing at Samsung. There is a video posted on the site that displays the Android 4.2.2, JellyBean running on the smartphone. It features lock screen widgets and a revamped design that makes the S3 run a lot like the S4.

The official Android 4.2.2, JellyBean update has been delayed for undisclosed reasons but it should be rolling out soon as SamMobile has gained accessed to this early build.

An updated version of the Android 4.1.2, JellyBean update has been issued to Verizon customers.

The original version of the update caused some 4G LTE connectivity problems with the device and with the new one, they are being corrected. Verizon even pulled the original update around a week ago to ensure that this problem did not affect any more users.

The build number for the new version is JZ054K.I535VRBMF1, while the previous update was JZ054K.I535VRBMD3.

Verizon users are already reporting that the new update for the Galaxy S3 returns things to normal with the 4G LTE. It mostly functions a small bug fix without any other enhancements. Those facing this issue will notice the difference once the new software is installed.
