Android 4.3, JellyBean Update Confirmed to Roll Out Later Today
The Android 4.3, JellyBean update was confirmed to be rolling out later today.
The Verge posted up a screen shot of a search result taken straight from an Android developer website that touches on "Security Enhancements" being made to Android 4.3, confirming is existence.
Shots such as this one can be easy to fake; however, the software has showed up in various website logs over the past few weeks which further points to Google rolling it out soon. The company could potentially introduce it later on today at the Google I/O conference.
Android 4.3, JellyBean is expected to debut on the upcoming Google Nexus 7 2.
The successor to the wildly popular 2012 device is expected to be introduced at Google I/O and well-connected analyst Ming Chi Kuo recently made some bold predictions regarding the tablet's pricing and specifications.
He released a detailed report last week which states that Google will officially launch the Google Nexus 7 2 in June or July. Kuo also believes that its entry level price will be the same as its predecessor at $199.
The new Nexus 7 will feature a Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor, a narrow bezel LTPS 7-inch high resolution panel 1920 x 1200; a 5-megapixel AF rear camera lens, and wireless charging capabilities. It will also be much lighter and thinner, according to the report. The smaller bezel will push the screen closer to the tablet's edges and its projected 7.5-8.5mm thinness will put it near or below the size and weight of Apple's iPad Mini.
The resolution receives a significant increase on the Nexus 7 2 as the first version had 1280 x 800 resolution. Google appears to be stepping its game up in order to better compete with the low-end tablet market, which has experienced tremendous growth in the past year.
