Android 4.3, JellyBean Update Release Dates Announced for Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2
The Android 4.3, JellyBean update release dates for the Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 will be in the next few months.
The Galaxy S4 will be the first of three to receive it and is expected to have it sometime in October. The Galaxy S3 will get it by the end of October or early November and the Galaxy Note 2 will receive it in either November or December. Samsung will also roll out Android 4.3 for their Galaxy Mega series.
The update is coming to the HTC One Developer Edition this week.

HTC's Jason Mackenzie announced last month that the HTC One would not be updating to Android 4.2.2, JellyBean, instead the device would skip directly to Android 4.3.
This week he tweeted out a message that confirmed that the software would roll out in the very near future.
"Good news- the latest Sense experience & Android 4.3 will push to One Dev Edition owners this week & One customers in Canada by month end," he wrote.
He also hinted at the status of the new software rolling out to the carrier models.
"We're still working hard & optimistic for U.S. carrier certification- stay tuned to HTCUSA for more news soon," he said.
Most HTC One customers in Canada will begin receiving the update next month. It will be a little bit more time before it rolls out to the U.S. versions and Verizon's Droid DNA.
Android 4.3 comes pre-installed in the Nexus 7 successor that was unveiled at Google's media event earlier this year. The new software was demonstrated on the tablet.
The upgrade to Android brings new capabilities to the multi-user mode that is currently available on JellyBean-powered tablets. A new restricted profile feature lets tablet owners customize the kind of access other people have on certain devices. In this restricted mode, apps will be available to multiple profiles, but they will function differently. In-app purchases will not be available in restricted profiles so children will be prevented from making unwanted transactions.
