Android 7.0 Nougat News: Wait for Update To Be Made Available for Galaxy S6, S6 Edge in Numerous Countries Continues
Some Galaxy S6, S6 Edge owners in different European countries have already been able to download the Android 7.0 Nougat update
The Android 7.0 Nougat operating system update has already been made available to numerous Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge owners all over the world, but those who have the older Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge units may not be as fortunate.
It is worth noting that not every owner of these older Samsung Galaxy devices has been unable to receive the OS update thus far.
As an earlier report from Sam Mobile pointed out, different carriers across several European countries have already released the Nougat update for their subscribers who have the aforementioned S6 devices.
There were also more recent reports that the Nougat update has apparently been released for the S6 smartphones in India, but it seems that has not happened just yet, at least according to an updated report also coming from Sam Mobile.
It is clear that the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge is still not as widely available as the one for the newer S7 devices, but the question now that many people are asking is when will this change?
For what it is worth, when Samsung announced that the Nougat update would be coming to the S7 and the S7 Edge back in January, the technology giant also confirmed that the S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus, Galaxy A3, A8, the Note 5, the Galaxy Tab A with the S Pen and the LTE unlocked Galaxy Tab S2 are all slated to get this new operating system within the first half of this year.
Unfortunately, a more specific date of arrival for Nougat for those devices has yet to be shared since then, and it looks like people will have to continue waiting a bit more.
More news about when the Android 7.0 Nougat update may be released for additional Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge units should be made available in the near future.
