Android Oreo Best Features: Autofill, High-Performance Bluetooth Audio and More

While Android Oreo has only made it to a few devices, it has been around enough for those who experienced it to be able to comb through the nitty-gritty.

Those who are still waiting for the mobile operating system (OS) will find it worthy of the test of patience due to the improvements and features that it will bring to their Android smartphones.

A clear favorite is Android Oreo's multitasking-focused addition — the picture-in-picture mode, which basically allows users to minimize a video with a resizable box that will sit on top of other apps that are running.

In line with this feature is the multidisplay mode, which gives users the ability to transfer in a bigger screen whatever activity they were doing in a smaller screen. Android Oreo will be able to switch between the two screens seamlessly.

With TextView auto-sizing, Android Oreo will then automatically resize the text in the apps in use to match the screen that it is being displayed in.

Another feature that users would love in the Android Oreo is the quick zoom feature in the camera that can be activated with a double tap.

High-performance Bluetooth audio is also quite the hit in the Android community. This Oreo feature basically gives the handset the ability to support unbelievably high-quality audio on supported hardware, thanks to Sony's very own LDAC technology.

Android Oreo also includes Bluetooth 5 support, which makes possible twice the data transmission in short distances and overall faster connection.

Autofill is also a big addition in Android Oreo. The mobile OS will make it easier for users to log in on apps by automatically filling out the forms with their credentials. With many apps requiring such, it could be exhausting to type in the same things over and over so this feature does the work for them.

The Android Oreo was rolled out last Aug. 21. Google Pixel and Nexus devices will be the first to receive it although many flagships from various manufacturers are expected to get the update before the year ends.
