Specifications and hardware

Pretty much everyone knows what the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus is made of by now for sure: it's got two models, a 4.7 inch with a 1334 x 750 LCD display, and a 5.5 inch with a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution. It runs on 3 GB RAM with a 32/64/128 GB internal storage variants and is powered by the new A10 Fusion processor. It boasts of a longer battery capacity over the iPhone series with 2,910 mAH, which is charged with a USB Type-C Lightning port.

Upgrades and features

The biggest changes in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus had been the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of Lightning connector AirPods, as well as the 12-megapixel rear dual-camera system. Photography lovers will therefore find plenty to love in the new iPhone iteration.

It has also caught up with its Android contemporaries with its IP68 water/dust resistance rating as well as its new fingerprint sensor. In terms of built, however, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus looks about the same, though sleeker and classic with its new jet black color variants. Another notable change is a static home button which responds to pressure instead of an actual button press.

All these, however, appear on the LG V20 as well, save for the jackless feature. It sports a powerful 16 megapixel rear dual-lens system, and is built from aircraft-grade aluminum with silicon-based top and bottom protection.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus comes in at $649 and $769 base prices for its 32 GB models, and will be available globally on Sept. 19. The LG V20 is expected around $600-700.
