Andy Murray vs. Novak Djokovic Live Stream: Watch Online US Open 2012 Men's Final (4PM Start Time)
The U.S. Open tennis 2012 concludes on Monday with the men's final scheduled to take place at 4 p.m. ET after the weekend's delay for bad weather. An Andy Murray vs. Novak Djokovic live stream is provided from the link below and the entire match can be watched online (details below).
Andy Murray has failed in his first four attempts to win grand slam finals but will be more confident this time having won the gold medal in the London 2012 Olympic Games just weeks ago.
In the Olympic gold medal match he destroyed favorite Roger Federer in straight sets - something that has rarely happened to Federer, and certainly not at Wimbledon, one of his favorite venues.
Murray, however, will have to contend with reigning champion Novak Djokovic. Djokovic has the better head to head record at 8-6 but Murray did defeat him in straight sets in the Olympic Games semi final match.
"Winning against him in the Olympic semi-final was a big win for me," Murray has said, according to the BBC.
The U.S. Open is Andy Murray's best chance at a grand slam as the hard court is his favorite surface. But Djokovic will fancy his own chances, having not lost a hard court match at a major tournament for an amazing two years - a record going all the way back to the 2010 U.S. Open final.
In addition, when it comes to grand slam final encounters Djokovic also has the psychological edge, having easily beaten Murray when they met at last year's Australian Open final.
Murray has said coming into this final: "Obviously it will be an unbelievably tough match. He moves very well on the hard courts. He's a top, top player, one of the best players that's played. The year he had last year is incredible."
Djokovic has been in spectacular form in the tournament until now, having lost just one set in his semi final four set win against David Ferrer - and many will point out that when he lost that set he was playing in extremely distracting wind conditions that eventually had the game suspended until the next day.
According to the BBC, Murray has said, "Winning the Olympics did, for me, take a bit of the pressure off. I did feel a lot better after that. I maybe had less doubts about myself and my place in the game just now," said the world number three. But winning a major is the last thing that I really want to achieve."
"I know that on Monday that I'm going to give everything I have on the court. That's all I can do," he added. "I've not necessarily played my best tennis this week but I've just fought hard in all of the matches and found a way to come through them and I'll do the same again in the final."
