Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Divorce News: Pitt 'Coping Well' With Divorce, Custody Fight
Brad Pitt is reportedly adjusting well to his current relationship with estranged wife, Angelina Jolie, based on reports.
According to PEOPLE, the 53-year-old actor is relieved that their family matters are not being rehashed in public anymore. In January, the ex-couple agreed to settle things by asking for a private judge's assistance, instead of aggressively fighting for child custody in front of the media. Nowadays, Jolie and Pitt are said to be talking to each other and negotiating.
It was September last year when the actress reportedly dropped the bomb on him, abruptly asking for divorce after a decade of being together. The two got married in August 2014.
According to the Los Angeles Times, a source told them that it was a "complete shock" when Jolie revealed that Pitt had hurt their eldest son, Maddox, while the family was on a private plane and having an argument at the time. Pitt has been cleared of the matter, though, the publication also says.
Although the divorce proceedings are ongoing, Pitt is said to be coping well nowadays. Another source, quoted this time in the report from PEOPLE, claimed that Pitt has been spending time with his kids, specially Maddox and Pax, when they are in Los Angeles and that things are "definitely calming down." Both him and Jolie are reportedly determined to make everything right for their children.
"He's always been extremely positive about how Angie's a good mother, and the goal was to resolve everything for the kids and the whole family, and they're working toward that," the source revealed, according to PEOPLE.
Meanwhile, aside from seeing his old friends, Pitt has apparently caught on a new hobby – sculpting. Another report shares he has often been meeting with friend and artist Thomas Houseago on the latter's Los Angeles art studio. Houseago is British contemporary visual artist who specializes in using plaster and plywood for his works. The report also says the people around Pitt are happy he has found something he is "passionate" about.
