Angelina Jolie has been spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger and new reports confirm that it is an engagement ring that was likely given to the actress by Brad Pitt.
"I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt," a representative for Beverly Hills jeweler Robert Procop told the Hollywood Reporter.
Jolie, 36, was recently spotted observing artwork at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art with Pitt and the couple's adopted son, Pax, where onlookers noticed the large sparkler on her left finger.
"Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a year-long collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina's hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality," the rep said.
The reported engagement follows speculation that the Hollywood couple recently began building their wedding reception hall in France.
"Brad and Angie have kept this quiet, and they're talking about how and when to announce it. They really get a kick out of teasing people with this whole thing," an insider told OK magazine.
"It's a place that they all absolutely adore. With the vineyards and the gorgeous wide-open spaces, they will really be able to create a dream wedding, right on their own property," the source says of the couple's French property.
The wedding, which will mark Jolie's third marriage and 48-year-old Pitt's second, is scheduled to be a small, low-key event inside their 35-bedroom French Château Miraval.
In a recent interview, Pitt opened up about his desires to marry "In The Land Of Blood and Honey" director, Jolie.
"We're getting a lot of pressure from the kids. It means something to them," Pitt recently told The Hollywood Reporter.
When his children Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and Knox and Vivienne, 3 asked him to "get mommy a ring," Pitt finally responded "Okay, I will! I will."
