Angie Everhart Cancer: 'Prognosis Very Good,' Says Rep
Actress Angie Everhart recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
The flame-haired starlet came clean with the public about her health after gossip mounted.
"Word has been trickling out about supermodel/actress Angie Everhart's health," her rep said in a statement to ABC News. "She wants to set the record straight by letting everyone know that it is true that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, however, the prognosis is very good."

It was also revealed that Everhart is to undergo surgery on Tuesday.
Although the actress is optimistic about the health scare, Everhart did admit that she has learned who her real friends are, according to TMZ.
"Anytime you have the big C put in front of you, you do a lot of reflecting on your life," the actress told the gossip website. "You learn who your real friends are."
Furthermore, Everhart noted the unpredictability in Hollywood.
"Sometimes in this town, you don't know how people will react," said Everhart. "My family and those friends who knew about it before it became public, have been wonderful. I am very grateful."
The "Trigger Happy" star's career first began with modeling. As a teenager, Everhart had already posed for magazines such as Elle and Glamour.
Everhart went on to appear in several issues of the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, and the model also posed for Playboy in 2000.
The actress is not the first high profile individual to go public with their battle against thyroid cancer. "Dancing with the Stars" co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet has also been very outspoken about her experience with the disease.
After announcing her health crisis in November, the TV host underwent a life-saving procedure where her thyroid gland was removed a month later.
Burke-Charvet also noted her reliance on positive energy, love and support from family and friends as well as fans who "have stopped me in the past month to share their thyroid scars & stories," she said in a YouTube video.
