Aniston Leather Dress Causes Stir at Awards Show
Jennifer Aniston's appearance at Wednesday night's star-studded People's Choice Awards has people talking on social media sites today.
Known to frequently wear "little black dresses," the 43-year-old actress chose a very unique and avant-garde version of her favorite style for the awards show.
The People's Choice Awards winner for Favorite Comedic Movie Actress donned a black leather dress by Christian Dior at the event, according to Us Weekly.
While the sleeveless dress was fitted at the top, the bottom featured pleating, giving Aniston a more innocent look.
As for her hair and makeup, Aniston kept a minimalist appearance in what hairstylist Chris McMillan called a "California babysitter" style, according to People magazine.
Moreover, Aniston's fans also sounded off about the former "Friends" star's look online on Thursday.
One reader on Celebuzz.com posted, "She's still hotter than most half her age. That dress looks like a bunch of garbage bags thrown together though."
"Without a doubt the ugliest outfit I have ever seen. Looks like recycled trees," a Daily Mail reader agreed.
Alternately, another reader on Daily Mail wrote, "She's lovely. Has wonderful taste in shoes, never wears platform clunky type shoe which I don't think compliments anyone."
When taking the stage for her People's Choice Award, Aniston thanked her fans during the acceptance speech.
"I can't thank you enough for allowing me to be honored with this again, after supporting me for almost 20 years and allowing me to keep doing this," said the actress.
Meanwhile, Aniston is engaged to actor Justin Theroux, with whom she spent the holidays with in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The pair was introduced on the set of 2007's "Tropic Thunder," and reconnected years later while filming the movie "Wanderlust." The pair became engaged on Theroux's 41st birthday on Aug. 10.
