Anna Chlumsky 'Veep' Star Wows on Red Carpet
The child star in "My Girl" Anna Chlumsky has made headlines with her red carpet look at the premiere for her new show, "Veep."
Chlumsky was just an 11-year-old when she portrayed Vada Sultenfuss in 1991's hit movie "My Girl," where she starred opposite of Macaulay Culkin.
Appearing at the "Veep" event in New York City Tuesday night, the now-31-year-old actress turned heads in a form-fitting black gown with a plunging back.

In HBO's new television series, Chlumsky stars alongside "Seinfeld" actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Tony Hale from "Arrested Development."
The series, created by Armando Iannucci, is based on the BBC television sitcom "The Thick of It," and follows the life of a fictional U.S. president. It is set to premiere on HBO on April 22.
Chlumsky has remained largely out of the public eye since "My Girl" and its sequel "My Girl 2." The actress attended the University of Chicago in her native city and worked in writing fields before deciding to return to acting.
"When I graduated from college I thought I was over with show business and was pursuing other things," explained Chlumsky speaking to Slate last year. "There were a lot of signs leading up to my getting back into [the] business."
The actress' childhood success followed her in to adulthood, and eventually brought her back into the acting world.
"I was crying on my lunch break, and a psychic was handing out her pamphlets, and she said, 'Excuse me I have a question,'" continued Chlumsky. "And I was like, 'Yeah, yeah, get away from me.' But she followed me and poked me on the shoulder and said, 'Are you the girl from 'My Girl?'"
Despite her new job and older appearance, the psychic helped Chlumsky realize she was ready to return to Hollywood.
"She [the psychic] was like, 'You still want to act,' and I was like, 'Oh!' I fell hook, line, and sinker," explained the actress. "I paid her like $40 for 10 minutes of palm reading."
Chlumsky is married to Shaun So, an Army Reserve member.
Upon announcing her engagement in 2007, the actress told the audience at the Conde Nast Traveler Readers Choice Awards, "Shaun's family is Chinese, and my family is Catholic. So we're going to do a fusion of the two cultural traditions."
