Anna Faris, Chris Pratt Split News:'Unqualified' Star Deletes Chapter on Marriage in Memoir

Anna Faris deleted a Chris Pratt chapter in her newly-released memoir, "Unqualified." The book's advanced copies had a section on her marriage to the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star but this no longer appeared in the actual copies sold in stores.

According to Page Six, the chapter excluded in the final release focused on how Faris and Pratt made their marriage work long distance. Faris supposedly wrote her book while Pratt worked away from home for the film "Passengers" with Jennifer Lawrence.

Instead of the said chapter, Faris wrote a new entry that reflected on the state of her current relationship with Pratt. The couple announced their separation two months before the release of "Unqualified."

"These days, I take comfort in the belief that there's no such thing as closure," the "Mom" star wrote in the new entry. "As my family is evolving, I hope we can still have barbecues and Fourth of July celebrations, and that we can proceed forward with love and tenderness."

Faris acknowledged via New York Times that changes were made to her book following her split with Pratt. These were not drastic revisions that would have affected the book's launch date.

She hinted that she would have written more about the separation if the book's release happened a year from now. She knew, however, that her marriage's breakdown will be discussed when she goes on her book tour.

The news comes as Faris has been seen openly dating a new guy in her life. The actress and her new boyfriend Michael Barrett, a cinematographer on her latest movie "Overboard," wined and dined, as well as shared a kiss in a restaurant in Seattle recently.

Still, Faris said she and Pratt remain great friends. After all, the two were together for 10 years and married for eight years. Faris and Pratt are also co-parenting a son, 5-year-old Jack.

"Unqualified" is now available in bookstores and online stores. Pratt wrote the foreword to his ex-wife's book.
